Extending the Sensory Boundaries of Human and Physical AI

We create the senses. Sensor technology that generates richer, more accurate perception data at lower cost — combined with AI and robotics to turn that data into real business and social impact.

Vision

Strengthening the data source through sensing innovation

AI that only handled text gained sight and touch. The next step is AI that reads all five senses in real time — expanding the boundary of perception shared by humans and AI.

AI Evolution Stage 1

LLM

  • Limited to cyberspace
  • Text + Vision
  • Not real-time
  • Understands through text only
AI Evolution Stage 2

VLA

  • Partially extended to the physical world
  • Text + Vision + Tactile & action
  • Real-time
  • Understands through eyes and hands

Mano Intelligence extends the boundary of human and AI perception by strengthening the data source through sensing innovation.

Brand

Expanding Human & Machine Intelligence with the broad, sharp senses of a shark

The name Manō Intelligence carries our direction in two words: starting from the senses, we widen the intelligence of people and machines.

ManōThe Hawaiian word for “shark” — one of the animals with the most richly developed senses in the natural world.

Products & Services

A sensor business and an AI/Robotics business, working as one

We combine sensor technology that creates perception data with AI and robotics that put it to work.

Sensor / Material Business

Making the senses

Original sensors rooted in physics and chemistry research, delivering new sources of data.

Scalability of Core Technology

Our proprietary liquid-crystal sensing technology is simple yet high-performing, and our product-development platform lets us launch new ultra-low-cost sensors quickly.

  • Ultra Low PriceSimple structure and low-cost materials deliver better performance than conventional sensors at a dramatically lower price.
  • Ultra Wide SpectrumWherever a responsive material exists, it can become a sensor product.
  • Ultra Fast R&DFrom a customer’s sensing need to commercialization in about 1–1.5 years.
Lonoa for Industry

Industrial gas sensor brand

  • Hydrogen Leak Detection SensorUltra-low-cost, highly sensitive and fast hydrogen leak detection with a color-changing film and a recognition camera.
  • Industrial Toxic / Explosive Gas Leak SensorThe same film structure applied to toxic and explosive gas leaks in refining, petrochemical and chemical plants.
Lonoa for Optical

Optical sensor brand

  • Adaptive Microlens ArrayA simple liquid crystal + polymer structure that focuses on multiple objects at once, for mobile devices, vehicles and robots.
Lonoa for Living

Everyday safety brand

  • Beverage / Drinking Water Pathogen Test KitAn ultra-low-cost, easy-to-use kit that detects contamination in drinks and water.
  • Food Freshness / Spoilage Test KitA simple kit that checks the freshness of ingredients and cooked food, in the same form factor.
  • Sick-House Gas Test KitDetects harmful indoor gases after moving or remodeling.

AI / Robotics Business

Putting the senses to work

Scalable engineering services and platforms that close the gap between technology and real demand — starting with build services and growing into a platform.

  • 1Custom AI/Robotic Systems Build & Operation ServiceWe customize and integrate off-the-shelf robots and IoT hardware for each customer, then build and operate their AI/robotic systems.
  • 2Sensor Intelligence Solutions & Systems (for our sensors)Intelligence solutions for single sensors and integrated multi-sensor monitoring and device-control systems, built around our own sensors.
  • 3AX / RX Acceleration PlatformA platform that turns accumulated tech components into greater value: a hardware model library, hardware data platform, workflow design optimizer and solution marketplace.

Our First Product

Lonoa-H2 — a film that shows hydrogen leaks

A thin, powerless film that changes color the moment it meets hydrogen. Attach it anywhere a leak is a concern.

Problem

Hydrogen leaks are dangerous, costly — and hard to see

  • Safety risk. Hydrogen is colorless, odorless, spreads faster than any other gas and ignites easily, so a small leak can become a large hazard.
  • Hidden losses. With no practical way to detect leaks, the energy and resources lost are rarely measured at all.
  • Blind spots. Conventional electrical sensors and IR cameras are expensive, so only limited spots are covered and the leak’s location often stays unknown.
Solution

A color-changing film — no power, no wiring

  • Simple to deploy. A thin, flexible adhesive film with no power supply or wiring; stick it on pipes and equipment.
  • Wide coverage at low cost. Affordable enough to cover whole areas and minimize blind spots.
  • Fast, visible detection. The color change shows exactly where hydrogen is leaking, to the eye or to a camera.

Applications

Where Lonoa-H2 is applied

Model R · ReusableFor places workers or cameras can see. Detects a leak the moment it happens, then returns to its original color and can be used again.
Hydrogen Facilities(production, storage, utilization, etc.)
Hydrogen Mobility(vehicles, ships, etc.)
Hydrogen Pipelines – Exposed
Model T · TraceableFor places that are hard to observe. Keeps the changed color so the leak point and cause are easy to find during maintenance.
Inside High-DensityHydrogen Equipment
Hydrogen Pipelines – Buried
